Contraption or Rube Goldberg Machine is a different ball game,undoubtedly a more fascinating one!

As you must be knowing,in a contraption,you have to complete a particular task using maximum possible energy conversions ,for example- Kinetic—>Potential, Wind—>Kinetic Energy .
This requires innovation that really appeals to me.Today we shall go over how to go about some tricky energy conversions and rake up crucial points.
1.Kinetic and potential energy conversions are easy enough to achieve-indeed,any form of energy can be broadly classified into either of these
2. eg: Chemical energy can be said to be Potential energy. But in case of contraption,all these are counted as separate.Yes…vibrational,chemical,sound,electric,wind,magnetic,light,rotational etc. are all distinct.

 RULES AND REGULATIONS:
1.The contraptions should have a minimum of 15 steps.
2. Maximum 4 members in a team
3.  Arena of 5ft x 5ft will be provided to each team.
4.  Parallel contraption when initiated should merge at some point before final objective is completed.
5. only two trails are allowed.
6. Skipping of steps is not allowed.

7.Maximum members in a team is 4.
           -Entry fee Rs 250/-


What do I have to bring? What will the organizers provide?  Following items will be made available at venue:​

• 220 volts A.C. supply.
• You have to get your own stationary,card boards etc.
• Balloons will be provided.

 What is a parallel contraption?  

•Initiating two or more contraptions from a single step and merging them at some point of time before the final objective is completed is a parallel contraption. Suppose there is a seesaw. On one end there is a burning candle with an aluminium strip on the other end. When the see-saw action occurs, suppose the candle burns a thread and the weight attached to it falls down and simultaneously on the other end the aluminium strip activates the a sound detector circuit. At this point, we have successfully initiated a parallel contraption. Now, if the sound of the weight falling down is picked up by the sound detector circuit and the contraption proceeds on this end, we have successfully clubbed the two parallel contraption.
